Club Leagues
Have you seen the leagues on the wall in the foyer and wondered what they are and how they work. Read on. The Leagues are an informal system of loosely matching players who are looking for some more competitive games to play. Rod Waugh will match the players into competitive groups and it is then up to the individuals to arrange their own games at their convenience. The Leagues usually remain up about a month and the object is to play as many of the 4 or 5 games in your group as you can. If you are a clear winner in the group you may be promoted up into the next group or conversely dropped down into a group more suited your ability.

The rules are the best of 5 games and if you do not play actively in a month - say more than 2 or 3 games your name may be dropped. To keep the leagues active you need to play as many games as possible. This is a great way to meet other club members and experience differing styles of play.

Then put your name on the list next to the leagues and when the next round is posted you will be in.

Club Ladder
The club ladder is another source of competition and games. Any member can be on the ladder and they are able to challenge up to 3 players ahead of their position. If the challenger wins then their name is moved ahead of the player they beat. To keep the ladder functioning members must accept challenges or risk having their name removed. The ladder is another source of competitive games and a way to meet and/or beat other club members. The objective is to get as high up the ladder as you can.
